The Musical Bazaar Wedding Cocktail Hour
Prepare your passports for a journey to some of the most exotic countries in the world. This musical sampler hits Europe, the Middle East, Northern Africa, Thailand and Japan. In this session, you’ll hear foreign languages including French, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese and Thai. Let the lush electronic soundscapes draw you in, as you sip on our suggested signature craft cocktail, the “Thai Garden Party” You might also enjoy a side of hookah.
The musical session winds down with two of our Japanese “City Pop” favorites - the latter “Midnight Pretenders” was sampled by the Weeknd for his recent song “Out of Time.” The closing song by Thai artist Groove Riders - contains an amazingly soulful production with beautiful horns. Our preferred song is shown in the embedded video below. This particular song was not available on Spotify, so we made a substitution.
We reverse engineered the Thai Garden Party cocktail from a drink of the same name listed on the menu at Clydz in New Brunswick, NJ (Go Rutgers!). Our recipe is as follows:
Thai Garden Party
1.5 oz of Reposada Tequila (we recommend Herradura)
0.5 oz Agave Syrup
0.75 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
1/4 eye dropper of Thai Bitters (adjust to taste, these bitters are spicy!)
Shake ingredients and strain into a well-chilled coup glass. Garnish with a red bell pepper slice.
