The Naked and Famous Cocktail Hour Playlist
This playlist is named after modern craft cocktail, the “Naked and Famous.” Featuring modern R&B artists, this session is designed to be atmospheric and moody, perfect for a late night listening session or afterparty. There are numerous ‘explicit’ lyrics in the set, so be sure to use the radio-edited versions if playing at a wedding or similar. Don’t forget to take a listen at the Spotify link below.
The signature cocktail - of course - is modern classic cocktail, the “Naked & Famous” developed by esteemed bartender and cocktails consultant Joaquin Simo during his tenure at Death & Co. The Naked and Famous is a riff on the classic cocktail “The Last Word” (equal 3/4 oz. gin, green chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, and lime juice). The Naked and Famous replaces these ingredients with mezcal, yellow chartreuse, and Aperol (the lime juice remains). Click here to learn how to mix the cocktail. Note: there is currently a global shortage of yellow chartreuse (the French monks have halted production). We recommend readily-available Italian spirit “Liquore Strega” as a substitute. Cheers!
