The St Germain Wedding Cocktail Hour Playlist
In this 109th episode of the wedding cocktail hour series, we turn to the nu jazz and deep house musical genres as inspired by French musician and producer Ludovic Navarre (aka, St Germain). St Germain’s production values are impeccable, with an assortment of live instruments (including saxophones, pianos, guitars and African percussion) played over lush electronic backgrounds. Other artists invited to our session include Satin Jackets (Germany), Junior Jack (Italy/Belgium), The Gotan Project (France), Black Coffee (South Africa), Gino Soccio (Canada) and CHIC (USA).
Coincidentally, Saint Germain is also an artsy Parisian neighborhood found in the sixth arrondissement.
Our signature cocktail of course features the delicious French elderberry liqueur “St. Germain” Elderberry is a flower grown in France and its inclusion in mixed drinks via St Germain elevates the drinking experience from ordinary to extraordinary. In particular we recommend the “Easy Street” as created at the Everleigh Bar in Melbourne Australia. Ingredients include dry gin, St Germain, simple syrup, fresh squeezed lemon juice, club soda and a cucumber garnish.
