The Thanksgiving Wedding Cocktail Hour

In this latest installment of the wedding cocktail hour series and coinciding with Thanksgiving week, we’re happy to share a playlist built around the themes of thanks and gratitude. While 2020 has been a tough as nails year due to the global pandemic, we’re still blessed to be alive to enjoy the gift of music. Curated by Ambient DJ head honcho Gregg Ambient, this playlist features R&B, soul, funk, jazz, house music, pop and TV soundtracks. Put this playlist on blast while you prepare your Thanksgiving feast!

For a signature cocktail, we turn to an autumnal recipe from a wonderful new book released in 2020 titled “The United States of Cocktails” by bartender/author Brian Bartels. Part travel guide, part drink recipe book - and beautifully illustrated, Bartels features drink recipes from all 50 states. To mix a “Stone Fence” cocktail (Vermont), pour 2 oz. of rye whiskey, 4 oz. of fresh-pressed apple cider, 1/4 oz. of lemon juice and 1 dash of Angostura bitters over ice and briefly stir.
